Dublin for four days…obviously one of our first stops was the Guinness Brewery at St. James Gate, Dublin.  The brewery occupies 60 acres in the south side of the city and produces three million pints per day for the Irish, UK, European and US markets.  The second largest market for Guinness is in Africa where 40 percent of the worldwide total Guinness is brewed (in Nigeria) and sold.

It is a self guided vertical tour at the brewery which concludes at the top in the Gravity bar.  Supposedly the highest point in Dublin (being on the seventh floor), it is an all glass circular space with 360 degree views of the city.  Not bad, especially when holding a pint of Guinness.
