One of the greats, Mariano Rivera, doing an event to promote his new cologne. The line was out the door in order to meet him and get an autograph. We snuck to the front for a quick photo before being blocked out by his massive body guards.
These images don’t do it justice, but this was a fantastic meal at the MoMa restaurant.
Our first time visiting the High Line along the lower west side of Manhattan. We walked the length of it in spectacular weather. It is such an asset to the city! We ended our day with a quick visit to Donald Judd’s former home and studio in SoHo.

One of my favorite works seen at the Volta 09 show, in conjunction with ArtBasel. It’s titled Point of Contact for 20 Incandescent Lamps, by Satoru Tamura. The Japanese artist was in the booth during the show and took the time to explain his recent works, which were all really great.
ArtBasel, 2013…some of the images that stood out this year. It very much had a ‘theme-park’ feel to it, with many of the works generating huge queues of visitors waiting to walk through the installations.
This takes me back to my youth. My brother and I used to do this, endlessly, to the consternation of our mother. Vacations wouldn’t have been the same without this competitive distraction.
