A stop at the Stockholm Public Library on our bicycle tour of the city. Designed by Swedish architect Gunnar Asplund and completed in 1928. This is Sweden’s first public library to apply the concept of open bookshelves. Now it became possible to find and retrieve a book without needing to ask the librarian. It was far too nice of a day to park the bikes for an interior tour. I know that we will be coming back in December, so I will save it for then.
