One of my favorite works seen at the Volta 09 show, in conjunction with ArtBasel. It’s titled Point of Contact for 20 Incandescent Lamps, by Satoru Tamura. The Japanese artist was in the booth during the show and took the time to explain his recent works, which were all really great.

ArtBasel, 2013…some of the images that stood out this year. It very much had a ‘theme-park’ feel to it, with many of the works generating huge queues of visitors waiting to walk through the installations.

This takes me back to my youth. My brother and I used to do this, endlessly, to the consternation of our mother. Vacations wouldn’t have been the same without this competitive distraction.

This has been the all time wettest Spring in Luzern. Actually, the records state that this is the wettest Spring in 35 years. When will it stop? Every now and then we are graced with one day of sun and just about everyone takes advantage of this. The Quai along the lake becomes un-walkable.
